EXO User Interface and collaborative features

EXO UI runs on multiple OSs and form factors. Here is a quick overview of the user interface, and how collaborative features works.

User Interface

In portrait or landscape mode, from 2 inches to 105 inches, the adaptative EXOgrid is consistent through all OSs and provides an access to multi-tasking, multi-applications, collaborative environment.

 The private or public libraries allows download and publication of OS agnostic applications.

Collaborative applications

Devices Map allows the user to view his devices and select one of several of them, to push an application, a video, a music, or initiate a collaborative activity.

EXOdesk UI Developer Preview

EXOdesk UI Developer Preview is aimed to help developers to create and test applications for the EXOdesk. 
Later this month, the publication tool will be made available to allow the participants of the EXOdesk Development Challenge to submit their applications.

First EXOdesk Application Development Challenge - Win an EXOdesk! (Updated)

Make Web not War and EXOPC are proud to present the first EXOdesk Application Development Challenge. Application developers can submit their applications to become one of the first person in the world to own an EXOdesk, named one the best innovation of CES 2012.

The contest’s goal is to determine the best applications by quality, innovation and creativity, user experience and learning curve, and look and feel. The challenge starts on March 3rd 2012 and closes on May 1st 2012. Winners will be unveil on May 15th 2012.

UPDATE: The challenge has been extended to give programmer more time to develop their application. The new closing date of the challenge is now July 15^th 2012 and the winners will be unveil on August 15^th.

EXO UI 2.0 was showcased during CES 2012 on both Windows and Android tablets. The feedback was extremely positive, thanks to the new design signed The Skins Factory. They are some reasons.

EXO UI is built on EXOengine, a small and optimized runtime acting as a local web server for HTM5. EXO UI can run on many different form factors.

EXOengine is designed to be cross-platform.

EXOengine for Android and for OS-X are in development stage.

Supporting various form factors involves fine tuning of the UI.

EXO UI standard is optimized for touch screens from 9 to 27 inches, and for mouse input in floating mode. EXO UI physics is optimized for 32 inches touch panels or larger.

EXO UI physics

EXO UI physics is a natural way to interact with digital content and applications on large touch displays.

EXO UI physics is based on EXOengine and run HTML5 applications.
EXO UI physics is a skin of the standard EXO UI.

EXOtables

EXOPC is working actively to get EXOtables released soon by reliable hardware manufacturers.

All EXOtables are running EXO UI physics with HTML5 application store. The UI is optimized for large touch panels.

EXOtable for living room

The EXOtables for living room can be used to choose a movie and watch it on the TV, have a quick access to your tweets, view and organize pictures and videos from your camera, play a board game with your family.

EXOtable for living room is based on EXO UI physics, and will support all applications created for EXOdesk.

 

The EXOtable for living room is build on a 32 inches led display and projected capacitive touch panel with 10 points of touch.

Productivity EXOtable

EXO UI physics allow quick implementation of complex processes to be executed in high productivity mode, where gestural is key to save time on repetitive tasks.

EXO UI 2.0

EXO UI 2.0 is planned to be released first quarter of 2012.

This version will introduce a new design created by The Skin Factory.
